Amazon Updates Business Solutions Agreement Effective March 4, 2026

Amazon has revealed important changes to its Amazon Services Business Solutions Agreement (BSA) that will take effect on March 4, 2026. This update also introduces a new Agent Policy with fresh requirements for AI and automated systems.

What’s Changing in the Amazon Seller Agreement

  • New restrictions on the use of Amazon data and services for AI, with protections against reverse engineering.
  • Automated tools and AI agents accessing Amazon must clearly identify themselves, comply with the new policy, and stop if Amazon requests.
  • A separate BSA for the Mexico marketplace will be added, and references to Mexico will be removed from the U.S./Canada agreement.
  • A new section outlines arbitrator authority while keeping existing arbitration and class-action waiver language.
  • Miscellaneous edits include updated privacy notice references, revised terminology, and new contract definitions.

What Sellers Need to Know

These changes may affect how sellers and automation tools interact with Amazon’s platform. Continued use of selling services after March 4 constitutes acceptance of the new terms of the Amazon marketplace seller agreement.

Sellers are encouraged to review the changes in the updated agreement and new Agent Policy ahead of the effective date.
