Starting from October 1, 2025, Amazon Business sellers can save on referral fees for large business orders. This program rewards sellers who offer business prices or quantity discounts of at least 3% off the standard price.
Eligibility Criteria
- Available to all Amazon Business sellers.
- Applies only to Amazon Business customer purchases.
- Order value (item price × quantity) must exceed $1,000 for a single product in one order.
- Seller must offer a minimum 3% discount (via business price, quantity discount, or both).
- Request for Quote (RFQ) orders qualify automatically, even without business pricing.
How the Fee Discount Works
- Standard referral fees apply to the first $1,000 of product order value.
- Discounted referral fees apply to the portion above $1,000, based on the fee category.
- The higher the order value, the lower the referral percentage.

The discount varies by product category. For more details, see the eligible categories list.
Important: Categories not listed are ineligible. Discounts apply only to the item price, not shipping or gift wrap.
Fee Calculation Example
Here is an example of the discounted fee calculation:
- Category: Office Products (standard referral fee = 15%)
- Item price: $250
- Quantity ordered: 500
- Order value: $125,000
Without discount: $125,000 × 15% = $18,750
With bulk discount: Fee = $8,180
Savings = $10,570
How to View the Discount in Seller Central
- Sign in to Seller Central.
- Go to Reports > Payments > Transaction view.
- Click the amount in the Total column.
- Look for the line “Discount on referral fee” (may also appear as shipping/gift wrap commission discounts).
- For details, click on the discount amount.
If you sell through Amazon Business and offer at least a 3% discount, you can significantly reduce referral fees on bulk orders over $1,000.
